Intro

One to One Sessions > Try it for Yourself

Here are some NLP techniques tha you may find helpful to try yourself.

They are drawn from Diploma and Practitioner courses.

Please do them with your full attention and concentration.

Make sure you do each step completely.

Only use them if you really wish to change.

Some of the exercises use phrases like 'Divide into pairs or threes and decide who is going to be the explorer (client) first and who is going to be guide (facilitator)'. If you don't have a friend nearby to work these in a pair you can adapt them for one person fairly easily, just say the prompts to yourself. You may also like to work out two different physical positions in the room for you to play the roles of explorer and guide. Why? See Anchoring and Disney Strategy.

Break state means stop what you are doing and think about something else - eg by looking at some object in the room.

Future pace means apply the changed mind state to some imagined future situation that used to be perceived as a problem.
